Relax, rest and rejuvenate was Mike's constant mantra for me this past week. The night before Mike and I left for our anniversary trip, Becky and I were so busy that we didn't get to bed before 2:00am. I needed rest more than I knew, being sick resting and relax resting is different although I didn't think so at the time, now I know better.
This a sample of the new shed that will house the trash cans and garden equipment making my dye studio a dedicated place in which to create. Tomorrow it will be installed along with a new garage door, also the plumber comes to hard plumb the water supply so that it won't freeze again. Tomorrow I'm making yarn upstairs and trying to sort out the office work.
Before I left there was so much to do. I dyed 9 pounds and then tried to catch up with the spinners. This is the pile of work that we did the night before Mike and I left.
Becky was also busy! We skeined all this yarn and more not pictured
Here are the full cubbies, ready to be shipped
On the road the next day, later than Mike wanted but as soon as I was ready! We dropped his car off to have some audio stuff done to it and then we made a stop to Churchmouse Yarn and Tea on Bainbridge Island with a basket of yarn. This is Mary Jo talking to Mike about the waterfront notice her clutching the yarn....
After a short (Mike said it was well over an hour) visit at Churchmouse off to San Juan Island. We thought we had plenty of time to catch the last ferry to Friday Harbor. However while waiting for a bridge to lift and then lower and a late Ferry to get to the Friday Harbor Ferry, we looked again at the ferry schedule and noticed that it is only on Friday night that the ferry left at 10:25 pm. The last ferry on Sunday was 8:25 pm, oops. We drove quickly and arrived just as they were getting ready to cast off. We were the last car on the last ferry to Friday Harbor.
Now we are waiting for the Bainbridge Island Ferry to go pick up some skeins and a new order from Churchmouse Yarns and Tea. This isn't all the pictures but again we are on the dial up and everything will have to wait until I'm at Safeway. We've had a wonderful time and have lots and lots of pictures.
