Saturday June 23, 2007 Black Sheep Gathering

Every year at Black Sheep Gathering there is a Spinners Lead. This is my favorite event (even if I wasn't the MC) Every year I come up with an "outfit" for this event. I love the bling a lot, so every year I wear my Tiara and Rinestone Spider pin. This year my husband bought me this dress with the money he got from selling the old '72 chevy truck, for years (I think 11) was a chicken roost and swallow nest toilet. It didn't run AND the tires had rotted off but he knew best and sold his truck for $2000! I of course wore this gown on the cruise and now got even more mileage by wearing it for this event.
Now you are wondering what is a Spinners Lead? People having made some thing from a sheep and/or fiber models the garment/item while walking around the sheep ring leading a sheep (sometimes it is their own sheep, others borrow one) often times there is someone that is leading a sheep for the first time. This year we had 16 or 17 participants my favorite was Rose (maybe 10 years old) she lead around my friend Maria Rooney's Coopworth's Ram (rams are always very large). I might have more pictures of this event if I wasn't doing my job, but if you search other blogs about BSG you'll probably see a picture of this event.
Cynthia Nordstrum took this picture, we were both having real fun at the "Wine Wagon" I.E. Jan's rig

Simple, elegant, dashing...dare I suggest luxuriant. I dare, oh yes, I dare.

Careful, she's a young man heart-breaker. You'd be just one in a long line who have tried and failed to woo her with flattery....

She is obviously out of control, can no one restrain her?

I'm so sorry I didn't make it! Oh my gosh, I went back to the hotel and passed out in my clothes. I don't remember much after that. In fact, I don't remember much of Sunday either.

Trish, you look beautiful.

Lonely in Los Angeles... except for GLASG's spinning party last Saturday.
