Shearing

This is a sheep without it's protective coat, the fleece is nice and clean, the coats are changed often, which means lots of washing and mending for Jan, which is why the new washer holds such importance in Jan's life.

This is a cream fleece. This sheep was born brown and then as the years collect, the color faded, can you imagine how cream cashmere and silk will look blended into this fleece?


Shearing is done and these fleeces are now drying (it was a wet and blustery day) and will be skirted further, my bed is put away!
